Aug 19 - Sept 8 A Muse...: Rubens KORUBIN, Dimce ISAILOVSKI, Dubravko NAUMOV Reception: August 19th, 7:00 pm
August 19 to Sept.8 a group exhibition A Muse … marks BBG’s introduction of one of the Macedonian masters, Rubens Korubin together with Dimce Isailovski and a continuation of select pieces from Dubravko Naumov’s Goodbye Infinitive. Korubin dominates the Macedonian art landscape, considered both as a pre-eminent master and teacher, having influenced generations of Macedonian artists. In this exhibition a woman figure dominates the artwork. Isailovsky assembles pieces to resurrect a past muse through a number of collages; Dubravko releases his muse while Rubens’ Muse presents a woman caught in the depths of her environment stimulating onlookers to be entranced, caught in the stillness, air and complexity that the Muse dictates.
Aug 3 - Aug 18 Dubravko NAUMOV: Goodbye Infinitive Reception: August 7th, 7:00 pm
From August 3 – 18 Macedonia is the focus. Goodbye Infinitive is a ten-year long evolution depicting the destiny of artist's life represented through the female figures of princesses as envisaged by Dubravko Naumov. Goodbye Infinitive represents the reaction to passivity using the metaphor of flying. It is the final act in the long term genesis that BBG is proud to unveil. Reception will be held August 7th from 7 to 10 p.m.
